ASML US, including its affiliates and subsidiaries, bring together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world's leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. The Test and Measurement Facilities (TMF) group aims to mitigate risks by testing hardware early in the design process. The strategy of TMF is to isolate failure mechanism and simulate environments on generic test equipment to quantify the risk. The TMF team is comprised of multi-discipline test engineers and architects who work in TMF owned and operated labs, with full control over the equipment and the work done in the labs.

Role and responsibilities

Test Coordination

  • Align on testing needs, resources, and timing with other project leads

  • Coordinate test activity within TMF San Diego and connect projects to other testing resources outside of the San Diego, ASML location as needed

  • Interact with module project leaders on technical content, capacity reservation, and planning.

  • Own and drive the TMF Way of Working from test intake through report out and close test.

  • Optimize processes to eliminate non value added activities and drive improvement actions on critical steps in process

  • Create buy in from team members on process improvements and document new processes

  • Review the execution status with the team members on a regular basis. Utilize technical knowledge, project management best practices, and team member input to create detailed planning for test coordination and lab utilization.

TMF Capabilities and Development Management

  • Drive TMF lab development through resource planning, in alignment with the TMF roadmap

  • Own the Capital Expenditures (CapEx) development and planning in alignment with the TMF roadmap

  • Utilize technical knowledge to create detailed planning for lab development projects and CapEx development projects.

  • Align with corporate real estate, facilities, and external contractors to ensure lab development in alignment with the TMF roadmap

  • Create and maintain project plans and proactively drive project realization.

  • Accountable for timely and effective delivery of project scope

Stakeholder Management

  • Report out monthly on TMF activities to update stakeholders on planning and progress, identify risks and opportunities, and support key decision points.

  • Stakeholder engagement and alignment across all sectors

  • Manage stakeholders to drive TMF priorities.

  • Drive decisions and hold action owners accountable to closing on actions in a timely manner

  • Align on priorities, content and resources with your architect and group lead.

  • Participate in global network of problem solving experts to share best practices, determine global standards for the company, and drive proliferation locally in San Diego

Education and experience

  • MSc or BSc in any relevant engineering degree

  • >5 years of overall experience in developing, integrating, testing and realization of volume production for complex multidisciplinary products, preferably high tech production equipment.

  • >3 years of experience in project management of complex technical projects cooperating with technical professionals

  • >2 years hands on experience working in a corporate lab environment.

  • Solid technical background (both theoretical and practical) in one or more of the following hardware disciplines: mechatronics, mechanics, electronics, optics or machine conditioning.

  • Affinity with managing integral business processes in fast growing and dynamic business environments.

This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

$115,125-191,875

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
