Description
The post doctoral fellow will be housed in the department of Forestry and Environmental Conservation on Clemson University's main campus. The position will pursue research to characterize the relationship between the conservation reserve program (CRP) and participating farmers/producers in the Southern United States. Additionally, the post doctoral fellow will facilitate the development of a web-based education and outreach tool. Finally, they will support landowner workshops across the SE United States. They are expected to complete research within one year from the start date (Jan 01, 2025). However, an extension (up to one more year) is possible depending on the overall performance and the availability of funds.
Qualifications
Candidates with relevant educational backgrounds (Ph.D. required) are encouraged to apply. International candidates are encouraged as well. Experience in designing surveys and conducting in-person/online interviews is needed. Skills in quantitative/qualitative data analysis are preferred. A working knowledge of spatial data management is preferred, if possible. A record of publishing in refereed journals is encouraged but not required.
