Position: Full-Time Instructor, Industrial Electronics Engineering Technology
Location: Senatobia Campus, Northwest Mississippi Community College
Position Overview:
The instructor for the Industrial Electronics Engineering Technology program will provide high-quality instruction, foster a professional learning environment, and contribute to the success of graduates in securing employment within the industry.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of recent, relevant experience in industrial maintenance, automation, and/or controls.
- Expertise in electronics theory, industrial mechanics, electrical systems, fluid power, PLCs, and automation.
- Associate of Applied Science in Industrial Electronics Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Strong professional demeanor and team collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Electronics or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of successful industry experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality classroom and laboratory instruction tailored to career preparation.
- Develop and update lesson plans, job sheets, and instructional materials.
- Ensure the program meets industry and accreditation standards.
- Monitor student progress, maintain records, and ensure compliance with academic policies.
- Continuously improve teaching methods and participate in professional development.
- Supervise lab activities and maintain a safe, organized environment.
- Participate in faculty meetings, community events, and advisory committees.
- Assist students with career placement and internships.
- Contribute to departmental and college-wide initiatives.
Additional Duties:
- Participate in student advisement and help students secure employment post-graduation.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the college's mission.
