Who we are looking for:
VML is seeking a multi-district Account Supervisor to foster growth with our client in the US market. The Account Supervisor will manage and support multiple district teams, working from a home office in San Diego, California and reporting to the Atlanta office. In this role, you will manage relationships with our clients, lead internal district teams, and identify and qualify new revenue opportunities. You will partner closely with our Business Director to help manage client communications as well as lead agency communications to deliver great work. You will understand what's needed in the short and long term and work closely with our cross-discipline leads to ensure long-term success. We are looking for someone who can be a true partner to our client and cross-functional agency team, and who can support the larger team in creating revolutionary creative work.
This position is a remote-flexible role with occasional travel onsite to our client in San Diego. Candidates must live in the San Diego area.
What you'll do:
- Client | Partner with Account Leadership to oversee the translation of our clients' vision into a roadmap that will achieve client goals, while generating work that is creatively brilliant, measurable and has a cultural impact. Overseeing an account manager, you'll be the point person for day to day client communications.
- Team | Manage, inspire and motivate project teams. Review team deliverables. Provide strategic oversight and ensure the work gets noticed, used and appreciated.
- Process | Drive profitability at scale within their own teams and as VML sells in new offerings. Find innovative ways to build new best practices.
Who you are:
- A Strong Communicator | Capable of delivering presentations both internally to agency peers, colleagues across departments, and clients.
- Detail Oriented | Oversees completion of all projects and assignments, ensuring strategic and brand integrity, while partnering with all necessary agency disciplines to ensure optimal distribution of resources, timeliness, accuracy, budget and government compliance.
- Innovator | Conversant in all media types, including the ability to understand and integrate diverse media vehicles to deliver a brand message to the client's consumer base.
- Ego-less | We all wear the hats that need wearing- it's a mentality that makes the team successful.
What you'll need:
- 5+ years of experience in a creative agency with a minimum of 3 years of client-facing experience. Client leadership experience preferred.
- Specific experience with Global clients in marketing communications, Internet initiatives, branding or business analysis.
- Passion for building relationships that result in new, profitable revenue opportunities as well as driving incremental growth on existing work.
- Proven ability to negotiate Statements of Work and contracts - effectively forecasting and scoping work with teams in close collaboration with Project Management.
