Job Description

DESCRIPTION

The massage practice involves light finger pressure over specific points on the body to restore the flow of energy. Promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and addressing acute and chronic pain. Teaching self-help techniques to patients. Applies skills and job knowledge in the area of specialization; may adapt procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and/or equipment to meet needs of the area of specialization; may work on non-routine tasks; resolves issues / makes working decisions within the area of specialization or responsibility with minimal supervision. Performs other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) certification.
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
  • Minimum 3 years practice as a Massage Therapist.
  • History of research-based practice, including developing data-gathering tools, gathering data, and interpreting for professional presentations.
  • Advanced knowledge of holistic health, active lifestyle, and general wellness.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
