Job Description

The Center for Student Support and Care (CSSC) is comprised of the Care and Wellness Consultants and Sara Bea Accessibility Services, with the primary goal of supporting and advocating for students with a variety of needs.

The Office Coordinator sets the tone with a friendly, respectful, professional demeanor for students and key partners who visit, call, or email the CSSC. The Office Coordinator serves as the primary administrative and clerical support to the staff of the CSSC. This position requires a high degree of organizational skills, competency with technology (Google Calendar, Gmail, Microsoft Office), and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Administrative Support
  • Support the CSSC through clerical duties and project-based work.
  • Organize internal/external events and meetings, including venue reservations and orders for tech equipment, catering, and supplies.
  • Serve as primary logistical support for all initiatives and programs.
  • Monitor the office email account regularly, triage to the right CSSC staff member and respond as needed.
  • Schedule and maintain the office conference room availability, setting up for meetings and resetting after meetings.
  • Coordinate outreach and tracking for students with approved accommodations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with identified key partners of the CSSC.
Manage and Coordinate Student Employees
  • Supervise and train student employee office assistants who serve as front office receptionists.
  • Hire student employees via the University student employee hiring and tracking system.
  • Approve student employee payroll via UltraTime and facilitate bi-monthly departmental approval for hourly student employees.
  • Serve as the liaison between CSSC and Payroll with procedural changes to ensure the continuity of student employee data.
Office Support:
  • Ensure efficient and smooth office operation.
  • Maintain office files and data entry into systems utilized by departments like Maxient and AccessND.
  • Greet guests and provide hospitality on behalf of the office.
  • Answer the main telephone line and route calls as appropriate
  • Organize and maintain common areas.
  • Order supplies for the office as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of related experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
