Manufacturing Technician needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh Scientific's client located in San Diego, CA.
This position will be for a major biotech company and is suitable for someone with experience with SOPs, travelers, ECOs, and GMP is a plus.
Shifts available: Monday - Friday - 8 am to 5 pm.
Key Responsibilities
- This position is responsible for duties related to assembly and testing of prototype instrument hardware.
- Perform assigned assembly or testing tasks in a consistent manner to produce high-quality assemblies under minimal supervision.
- Identify process discrepancies or difficulties and collaborate with Engineering teams for improvement.
- Create or modify documents such as work instructions, batch records and test methods as required.
- Establish and maintain reports of build issues and defects.
- Participate in daily standup meetings where tasks are assigned.
- Other laboratory duties as needed.
- Performing a wide variety of assigned manufacturing tasks to produce high quality products.
- Performing work order processing to complete products to inventory.
- Perform assembly on piece parts into completed Sub-assembly using typical assembly tools such as screw drivers, wire crimping tools, and small wrenches.
- Perform bench processes to complete mechanical, electrical, and optical assemblies using hand tools, electronic and pneumatic tooling.
- Troubleshoot to component leave of PCBs and electromechanical assemblies.
- Assembling electro/optical/mechanical systems that require testing, calibrating, and troubleshooting of both individual components and integrated systems using Standard Operating Procedures performing functional tests of finished products.
Qualifications
- Excellent familiarity with standard laboratory practices.
- High level of familiarity with lasers, laser-optics, electro-optics, electronics or related technical field required Communicate well with supervisor and other employees.
- Experience with SOPs, travelers, ECOs, and GMP is a plus.
