Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Experience using electronic purchasing systems, such as KFS, Shell Shop or similar systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Ability and willingness to take initiative, analyze problems, research and articulate solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible, working on multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet expected deadlines and schedules.
Conditions of Employment:
If selected, you must meet the requirements for access to classified information and will be subject to a government security clearance investigation that includes criminal and credit history checks, as well as verification of U.S. citizenship, birth, education, employment, and military history. Must also be able to obtain a TS/SCI U.S. security clearance.
Able to work on-site work from 3-5 days per week at the UMD/ARLIS building in College Park, MD.
Preferences:
- Experience in higher education.
- Working knowledge of OMB’s Uniform Guidance and the FAR.
- Experience with the University of Maryland’s financial and electronic purchasing systems (KFS, Shell Shop, etc.).
- Knowledge of University of Maryland policies and procedures and how they relate to sponsored project accounting, travel, and purchasing.
- Experience with the University of Maryland’s Travel Card and Purchasing Card Management systems.
