Director of Human Resources
Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in Concord, New Hampshire, is seeking a full-time HR Director. This position reports to the CEO.
As the HR Director, you will help to plan, organize, and direct all aspects of human resources management to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees, ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal laws, and direct the agency recruitment, retention, onboarding, off-boarding, and performance management processes.
You will supervise a team of 2 staff and be part of the management team.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the hiring of qualified staff to fill vacancies and new positions throughout the agency.
- Direct agency recruitment and retention efforts to ensure availability of appropriate staffing resources.
- Serve as a resource to managers and staff throughout the agency.
- Oversee employee wellness activities and worker's compensation management.
- Oversee benefit administration and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations; Participate in annual benefit selection process.
- Act as Plan Administrator for the 403(b) retirement plan.
- Communicate with staff relative to employee benefits and pay practices.
- Maintain HRIS and related systems to ensure accurate database information.
- Monitor staff performance to facilitate attainment of budgeted results, to recognize staff for outstanding performance, to assist staff in improving performance, and to minimize risk to the agency and clients.
- Consult with and advise managers regarding performance issues and obtain advice from legal counsel as needed.
- Monitor training records to ensure that staff complete all required training.
- Monitor job-related risks to employees, take steps to mitigate risks, and participate in investigations when accidents/incidents occur.
- Participate in evaluation and implementation of HRIS systems.
- Maintain compliance with agency, legal, and ethical responsibilities relative to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Oversee onboarding and off-boarding of employees to ensure that all necessary documentation and procedures have been followed; ensure a positive employee experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Certification by SHRM or HRCI preferred.
- At least 2 years management experience is required.
- Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
