Job Summary
The Department of Family Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and organized person, with excellent multi-tasking, communication, and research skills to join our research team. This Research Area Specialist position provides administrative and project management support for multiple National Institute of Health (NIH) funded studies, all of which involve a qualitative or community-engaged research approach. The characteristic duties and responsibilities of this position involve research participant interaction, coordination and management of day-to-day study activities, data collection and data analysis, and manuscript preparation. The individual will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Co-Investigators, and other team members to conduct qualitative, mixed methods, and community-based participatory research studies.
The role may include curriculum design and implementation for a community-based participatory research model to train students to be researchers on a study of adolescent health as well as supporting other studies using qualitative and mixed methods approaches. Activities will include providing administrative support, collecting data (e.g., interviews, focus groups, observation), analyzing data, and collaborating with other research team members, in addition to other study responsibilities.

Background Screening
