The base salary range, from the salary table(s), for this position is $120,300-$ 150,400. "Off-scale salaries" and other components of pay, i.e., a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions, qualifications, and experience.

The School of Global Policy and Strategy (GPS) at UC San Diego invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the fields of International Economics and closely related fields such as but not limited to international trade, international macroeconomics, and spatial economics. The school seeks an outstanding scholar doing empirical research on issues related to the global economy, including trade and trade policy, multinational firms, international macroeconomics, exchange rates, and immigration. Faculty are expected to produce original research and publish in highly ranked academic journals, to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, to supervise and mentor graduate students, and to engage in select service activities
Candidates must be ABD (all but dissertation) in Economics, Business, or Management with a concentration in Economics.
Must hold a PhD in Economics or related field by start date of appointment.
We are particularly interested in scholars with expertise on issues related to the global economy, including trade and trade policy, multinational firms, international macroeconomics, exchange rates, and immigration.
