Koam Engineering Systems, Inc. Position Summary
The Field Service Engineer, shall be a working member of the Contractor's work force, working hand in hand with the technical and engineering staff (government and contractor) to establish technical solutions and is relied upon and considered as a Subject Matter Expert in their field
Responsibilities
- Installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains products/equipment.
- Identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, install new components or parts.
- Develops creative solutions to more unique, chronic, or complex issues.
- Research and answers customer questions about product features and recommend appropriate upgrades.
- Performs start up testing and customer training on features and general maintenance of product.
- Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
- Adept in working with engineering drawings to include Technical Data Packages (TDP) and Interconnection Requirement Diagrams (IRD).
- Promote positive customer relationships, including non-service call visits and meetings
- Must be able to travel 30-50 %
- Other duties as assigned
Experience
- 5-7 years of technical experience working within DoD contracts on related systems
- Proficient working with test equipment such as multimeters and O-Scopes
- Strong background with electronics
- Strong background in troubleshooting and maintaining C4I systems.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
- This position requires an existing U.S. Government DoD granted security clearance/eligibility at the Secret level. Individual must be able to maintain the necessary security clearance/eligibility for employment. U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Experience working with technical and engineering documentation.
- Experience working with Common Data Link Management System (CDLMS) and Command and Control Processor system (C2PS).
