Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Program Manager-Special Student Resources works under the direction of the Dean of Student Affairs to manage and develop student resource programs for student basic needs such as housing, food and transportation. This position will connects students to internal and external resources to serve the needs of students, faculty and staff. This position will assist with holistic case management of students referred to the Behavioral Intervention Team.
- Create and maintain a referral resource program for students to access and utilize external programs for student basic needs such as housing, food, and transportation.
- Assist students in determining eligibility for benefit programs and identifying campus wide and community resource support.
- Develop and maintain best practices for helping students apply for and receive assistance from benefit programs. Utilize a tracking method to follow up with students using resources.
- Coordinate and provide culturally specific resources, including resources for non-English speakers to support students at the college.
- Develop, implement and evaluate program policies, practices and procedures for special student resources.
- Coordinate student outreach efforts to students referred by the Behavioral Intervention Team.
- Promote faculty and staff awareness and support of student support services.
- Market and promote the resource programs to the student populations.
- Participate in Dean of Student Affairs initiatives, develop and maintain programming with other COD services and programs.
- Collaborate with other Student Affairs Departments and committees to promote resources to students.
- Participate in annual training, collect data and report data to the IBHE.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, counseling, social work, or related field required.
- Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field, preferred.
- Experience
- Minimum of three years of related experience in schools, or community agency setting required.
- Additional preferred experience including case management.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must have an understanding of issues facing traditional and non-traditional students.
Working Conditions:
- Computer, Email, Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- In-person and video meetings.
- Proficient using Zoom and other virtual meeting software.
- Normal work hours are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends.
- This position requires a background check and drug screen.

Hiring Range:
Classified 14 Salary/64,000.00 - 68,000.00
