Job Description Summary

The Units department serves faculty members of multiple disciplines; English, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Fine Arts, and Business Programs.  Faculty members rely on the Office Supervisor and Part-time staff to provide clerical support such as maintain an adequate supply of office materials, contact the appropriate individuals for repairs within the office, assist with student traffic and perform other clerical duties as assigned.

 

Job Description

The Units department is seeking a part-time Educational Aide to work Monday - Thursday afternoons.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Greet and direct students.
  • Provide administrative support to the faculty and other staff members.
  • Answer incoming calls, take messages, distribute mail, distribute office supplies, operate and maintain copier/printer.
  • Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Reports to: Office Supervisor, Academic Affairs

Qualifications

Required: The Educational Aide must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student, in good academic standing, taking six (6) or more credit hours.

Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted. Must maintain a 2.5 GPA.

Preferred: Email and Microsoft Knowledge.

General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Systems & Software - proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or relevant position software programs.
