About Vision House: Vision House, founded in 1990, is a Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to serving families experiencing homelessness. We believe that every family has potential, and through relationships and comprehensive support, individuals can rise above their present circumstances. Our mission is to break the cycle of homelessness by providing transitional housing and support services to families with children. We are committed to promoting positive transformation in the lives of those we serve. In the last few years, Vision House has experienced substantial growth, expanding our programs in both breadth and depth of impact. We help about 1,000 families annually.
Position Overview: Vision House is seeking a dynamic and committed Director of Philanthropy to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a passionate advocate for families experiencing hardship and demonstrate a strong commitment to Christian values. Relationships are key at Vision House, and the Director of Philanthropy must exhibit love and care for people. The Director of Philanthropy will be responsible for leading our fundraising efforts, managing and supporting a team responsible for donor relations, annual giving, marketing, website, social media, events, volunteers, grants and database management.

HOURS: Full-Time, Exempt w/occasional evening and weekend hours
LOCATION: Renton, WA

This position will enjoy the following pay and benefits:
- $85,000-$100,000 Yearly Salary DOE
- Health insurance for Employee only: Medical $80/month, Dental $11/month, and Vision $1/month. Separate rates for spouses/dependents.

Responsibilities include the following:
- Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to support Vision House's mission and programs; track and drive progress to meet or exceed goals.
- Lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for donor relations, marketing, events, volunteer coordination, as well as foundation and grant management.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to set fundraising goals and objectives, and track progress towards those goals.
- Grow the organization through data-informed strategies to acquire, maintain and grow donors.
- Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events and campaigns, leveraging the support of volunteers and community partners.
- Represent Vision House in the community, promoting awareness of our mission and building strategic partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards in fundraising and donor relations.
- Manage the philanthropy department budget.
- Potential to steward a portfolio of donors.
- Other duties as assigned to ensure the success of our organization and its mission.
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Active Christian faith and an ability to sign our Statement of Faith.
- Proven 5+ years of experience in fundraising and donor relations, with a track record of successfully meeting fundraising goals.
- Strong leadership and management skills. Can inspire, coach and motivate a team.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, ensuring a donor-centered approach to fundraising.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with donors, volunteers, community partners, and foundations.
- Strategic thinker who can develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies and structure department growth.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or experience equivalent.
- Experience working in the nonprofit sector, particularly in housing or social services, is a plus.
- Ability to pass background check.
- Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work occasional weekends and/or evenings.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in donor segmentation, profiling and major donor development.
- Experience developing new donor acquisition strategies and successful monthly giving programs.
- Experience in financial modeling and analysis.
