Job Description

We are looking for a Support Engineer with a Secret clearance or higher to join our Naval Surface Warfare Center Team!

As a Support Engineer you will:

  • Provide critical project management, technical, or business analysis of major Defense acquisition systems with the expertise that can lead to recommendations that ensure project success.

A week in the life of a Support Engineer:

  • Assist in design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems.
  • Perform moderately complex engineering design tasks with standard techniques.
  • Use their proficiency with relevant software and tools for design, analysis, and testing.
  • Assist more senior engineers in preparation of plans, designs, computation methods and reports.
  • Assist less experienced engineers with their tasking and professional development.
  • Provide full life-cycle support that includes logistics planning, resource management, creations of training materials, certification implementation, life cycle planning, equipment deactivation, equipment disposal and post-production support.
  • Engage in the life cycle of equipment/systems related to the deployment of munitions; however, you will not be working with explosives.
  • Conduct test and evaluation of installed equipment or equipment candidate that are being considered for use by the Government.
Job Requirements
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
  • BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physical Sciences disciplines or related scientific or technical discipline
  • (3) years of recent and relevant technical experience

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary/hourly range for this position is $80,000-$100,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
